Thank you for considering me for your portraits! At a very young age, I developed a passion for the arts that was fueled by support from my parents, friends and teachers. I realized that art was a gift from God, a creative outlet, a chance for self-expression, and my opportunity to leave a lasting impression on others. Throughout my adolescent life, art was more than a passion, more than a drive… it was my life.
Like many, I felt the pressure to explore a more stable career path as a young adult and decided to pursue a degree in Business Finance. While art was no longer my main focus, I still stayed in touch with my inner artist by taking electives whenever I could fit them into my normal course load. After graduation I found myself working in public accounting where I met my now husband-Joe. Life is unpredictable… and beautiful that way.
After several more years in a corporate finance setting, I realized I wasn’t doing what I was passionate about. The artist in me was being suppressed and yearned to be back in the spotlight. After careful consideration, I decided to pursue a career in photography. I didn’t plan this route, but I love how life unfolds. It’s trusting in God’s plan and taking a leap of faith that takes us to better places through His divine plan.
My name is Amanda. I am a God-loving woman, a wife, a mama to two cats, coffee lover, blogger, runner, and-of-course a photographer. It would be my honor to work with you.
